2001 Fountain 42 Super-V
NOTICE: WE ARE STILL WORKING WITH THE SELLER AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER TO RESOLVE USCG TITLE ISSUES.
IT APPEARS THAT THAT WILL BE RESOLVED SHORTLY, AND WE CAN ONCE AGAIN CONTINUE TO PRESENT THE BOAT SUBJECT TO FINAL RESOLUTION OF THE USCG TITLE RELEASE.
This is the famous Rio Roses that holds several world speed records in various engine configurations, running with the world famous Fountain Powerboats Offshore Racing Team. The boat is race or poker run ready, or can be sold without power. The boat is currently without power, but the fresh ATECO 558CID 750HP engines are ready to install. Note that the Specification for the SV class is 572CID, so they are below the allowable displacement specification for the current class rules.
With big power, this could be built as one of the fastest offshore v-bottoms in the world, with the ultimate in safety equipment to go along with it. Seller will part with the boat without power for $70,000.00. Boat includes #6 Mercury Racing Speedmaster swept-back dry-sump drives with a 1.61:1 ratio, ventilated for quicker planning and acceleration.
The boat is configured with a pilot controllable ballast tank, full suspension seats, billet controls, Livorsi instrumentation, heads-up trim indication, lifting hardware, SCUBA system ready, and is the identical configuration as the 42 Fountain that obliterated the world offshore v- bottom at over 177miles per hour.
Fuel tanks have been changed out from the bladders to 55 gallon each aluminum to meet pleasure-boat requirements. Exhaust through the cheeks makes a BOLD statement as the boat passes, making this model and configuration a crowd favorite. But, if you need to tame the roar for more conservative locations, there is plenty of room to add mufflers inside the beautifully detailed engine compartment.
The boat rests on a tri-axle MYCO trailer with boxes, spare tire, and drive guard. If your looking to go racing, this boat will be competitive right out of the gate. If your looking to make a statement on the poker run circuit, this boat will draw crowds and perform at a level that will leave the competition staring at the transom and rooster tail as you blow buy.
