1998 Fountain/Skater 42 Super V Eikert SC Engines #6
NOTICE: FUEL TANK COMPARTMENTS NEED TO BE CUT OUT AND RE-LAMINATED ACCOMMODATE NEW FUEL TANKS.
This is the famous Muscle 42 Super V, campaigned through the late 90’s into 2000’s.
The boat was laminated by Skater and rigged by Fountain, with a Skater HIN.
The boat was re-fit to an open cockpit boat in 2006, changing the seating from 2 to 5 people, and is now configured for poker-runs or open cockpit racing applications.
The engines are Eikert engines de-tuned from the Super Cat specifications, with #6 dry-sum drives fitted with vent tubes, making 750hp.
The boat runs a solid 115-120 with the ride you expect from Fountain in the current configuration.
CRITICAL NOTE: As with most Skaters of the time, the fuel tanks were actually laminated compartments in the stringer grid of the boat. These ALL eventually leak and need to be repaired and typically replaced with aluminum or bladder tank systems. This boat needs to go back to Skater in Michigan to have this repair made before it is put pack in to service. In our opinion, Skater is the only facility that should be trusted with making the repair on the boat. We are gathering photos of the compartments and hull for reference, but do not have detailed photos at this time. We have been estimated between $10k-$15k to make the change in the tanks, and can assist in the scheduling and transport process with Skater for any buyer.
The boat rests on a tri-axle MYCO trailer with boxes.
