2005 Skater 368 Carbon - JC 1175 w/ #6 Drives!
Ok, buckle up for this opportunity.
This boat is the well known Motley Crew 368 Skater, that has started to process of a complete conversion to what will undoubtably be one of the coolest poker run boats out there.
The carbon version yields a finished boat at 7800#
The conversion is being completed by the Skater team in Michigan, including finishing out the canopy removal; but, there is an opportunity for someone to jump into the project NOW and built their ideal dream Skater.
The conversion is about half completed, and just needs the finish-out of the canopy removal.
The 368 Skater is a stretched 360 (8” wider), and has been taken down to the fiberglass, including original putty. The boat is ready for the “finish body work” and to prepare it for paint.
This project package comes with a pair of fresh JC Performance 557’s with PSI Superchargers making 1175hp, headers, transmissions and #6 drives, and a triple axle Skater trailer.
There is another chunk of cash needed to complete this project, but the bones are there.
Here is the catch… the owner is already scheduled to have the next phases of the work completed in Michigan, and the boat will be into the process in the next 30-45 days for the finish glass work and paint. The next step will be a complete new custom interior and it is planned to carry the Motley Crew branding that made the team so popular.
So, there are a few choices here:
-
Take the boat as is, and take on the project management/completion on your own
-
Buy into the project now with the plans in place for Michigan and the Skater refurbishment at a finished price
-
Wait until the boat is completed, for a completed boat at somewhere just south of $500k.
This is absolutely a unique project opportunity, on a boat with a very cool pedigree and has been worked on with a open checkbook approach.
The seller still loves the boat, but is willing to sell to a buyer that will properly finish and take care of the boat, but he is not in a hurry, and not in any way urgently working to sell the boat. For him it is a function of time management that yields this opportunity.
